Our Story

We Started Because Bathrooms Were Being Built Wrong

ParagonCA was founded after years of watching homeowners get burned by contractors who cut corners on the parts of the job you can't see — the waterproofing, the substrate, the things that determine whether a bathroom holds up or fails in two years.

We built our reputation in California's Central Valley, where word travels fast and bad work follows you. Every project had to be right, because our next client was often standing in the last client's bathroom.

We brought that same approach to the East Bay. The communities here — Walnut Creek, Danville, Pleasanton, Concord, and the rest — deserve a contractor who shows up on time, communicates honestly, and builds things that last.

We Wrote the Book on How This Work Should Be Done

Our founder is the author of the Paragon Standard Remodeling Series — a set of trade books that document the correct methodology for bathroom remodeling at a professional level.

The series was written because no such resource existed. Most remodeling guides focus on the cheapest way to do things. The Paragon Standard series documents what “correct” actually looks like — from waterproofing chemistry to tile setting tolerances to fixture specification.
