Our Story
ParagonCA was founded on a simple but uncompromising premise: the remodeling industry has a quality problem, and most contractors are content to ignore it. We are not.
We built our reputation in California's Central Valley — a market where word travels fast and bad work follows you. Every project we completed had to be right, because our next client was often standing in the last client's bathroom.
Over time, that commitment to doing things correctly — from substrate preparation to final fixture trim — became what we call the Paragon Standard. It's not a marketing phrase. It's a documented methodology that governs every decision we make on every project we take on.
"We don't build bathrooms that look good. We build bathrooms that are good."
Central Valley, California — where our standard was built.
How We Work
The Paragon Standard is the set of non-negotiable principles that govern every project we take on. It is not a checklist — it is the way we work, on every job, every time.
01
Every surface we tile, every shower we build starts with a properly prepared substrate. What goes behind the wall matters as much as what goes on it.
02
The materials specified are the materials installed. We do not swap in cheaper alternatives without your explicit knowledge and approval.
03
Every phase is photographed and logged. You receive a complete record of what was done, what was installed, and what is behind your walls.
04
We do not subcontract the work we sell you. The crew that shows up on day one is the crew that finishes the job.
05
Our warranty is not fine print. It is a written commitment with clear terms — and we honor it without argument.
06
We tell you what the project actually requires before we start. No low-ball bids, no change-order surprises, no scope creep.
Published Author
ParagonCA's founder is the author of the Paragon Standard Remodeling Series — a multi-volume set of trade books that document the correct methodology for bathroom and kitchen remodeling at a professional level.
The series was written because no such resource existed. Most remodeling guides teach homeowners how to do things cheaply. The Paragon Standard series teaches contractors and discerning homeowners what correct actually looks like — from waterproofing chemistry to tile setting tolerances to fixture specification.
When you hire ParagonCA, you are hiring the team that wrote the book on how this work should be done.
The Paragon Standard Remodeling Series is used as a reference by contractors and industry professionals across California.
Where We Work
ParagonCA is headquartered in California's Central Valley and serves clients across the Central Valley, Bay Area, and Central Coast. We are selective about the projects we take on — geography is one factor, but fit and scope matter more.

Honest About Fit
We are the right fit if you...
We are not the right fit if you...
We say this not to be exclusive — but because the clients who are the right fit get dramatically better results, and so do we.
